Washington’s lemon law covers new vehicles that have a defect affecting the use, safety, or value of the vehicle. The manufacturer must be given 3 attempts to repair the defect or the vehicle must be in the shop for 30 days. Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund. Claims must be filed within 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.
